Clover & Ide was born from founder Rachel’s search for something that, surprisingly, didn’t seem to exist: zero-waste, all-natural, luxurious hair and body care made in America that also smelled incredible. She spent years trying products that landed on opposite ends of the spectrum—either overly “crunchy” and rustic, or “fake natural” with hidden synthetics and marketing fluff.
The struggle was especially real with shampoo bars.
So many felt waxy, refused to rinse out in hard water, or required an apple cider vinegar rinse afterward.
Who wants to do that? Certainly not someone who just wants clean, beautiful hair without extra steps or compromises.
So, Rachel started making her own.
What began in her kitchen as a personal mission to create a bar that was effective, gentle, beautifully scented, and truly zero-waste quickly grew into something more. Friends and family began asking if they could “buy whatever magic was in that bar,” and soon Rachel found herself crafting products not only for herself, but for everyone longing for cleaner, better, more thoughtful personal care.
