Our Lavender Fields Shampoo Bar creates a rich, creamy lather that gently washes away buildup while leaving hair feeling clean, soft and refreshed. Formulated with conditioning emollients, strengthening panthenol and hydrolyzed rice protein, and a botanical blend chosen with color-treated hair in mind.

Brazilian purple clay gives the bar its naturally beautiful lavender tone while providing gentle cleansing and helping absorb excess oil and impurities. Alkanet root adds another layer of plant-derived color, allowing us to create the bar’s soft purple hue without synthetic dyes. A calming essential-oil blend of lavender, rose and palmarosa gives Lavender Fields its fresh, softly floral scent.

How to Use

Thoroughly wet your hair and the shampoo bar. Glide the bar directly over wet hair from roots toward ends several times, or rub the bar between wet hands to create a lather.

Massage the lather into your scalp and hair as you would with liquid shampoo, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if desired.

No. It’s formulated with color-treated hair in mind, but it can be used on all hair types. It’s a great choice for anyone who prefers a soft floral scent and a conditioning shampoo bar.

Will it strip my hair color?
The bar is designed for color-treated hair and uses gentle surfactants rather than traditional soap. As with any shampoo, color longevity can vary depending on your hair, dye, washing frequency and water temperature.

Why is the bar purple?
The color comes from Brazilian purple clay and alkanet root rather than synthetic dyes. Because these are naturally derived ingredients, slight variations in color from batch to batch are completely normal.

Does Brazilian purple clay dye your hair purple?
No. The clay is included at a cosmetic-use level and rinses away with the shampoo. It is not intended to deposit purple pigment like a purple toning shampoo.

Is this a purple shampoo for blonde hair?
No. Despite its beautiful lavender color, Lavender Fields is not a purple toning shampoo and isn’t intended to neutralize brassiness.

Does it contain sulfates?
It does not contain SLS or SLES. Note that SLSA (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate) is a different ingredient from SLS; despite the similar name, it is a distinct surfactant.

How do I use a shampoo bar?
Wet your hair and the bar thoroughly, glide it over your hair a few times, massage the resulting lather through your scalp and hair, and rinse well. A little goes a long way because the formula is concentrated.

How should I store it?
Keep the bar somewhere it can drain and dry completely between washes. Keeping it out of standing water will significantly extend its life.
